Just a Few Points of concern.
We are delighted to have you visit us but we need to share a few points of concern.
Please accompany your children under 12 at all times and stay on the pathways.
We are a healthful place. Please, No Smoking.
Please don't pick the veggies without the assistance of one of our garden volunteers. They will be advised of the harvest time and method of harvest without damaging the plants and all foods must be washed at our garden wash stand.
Our volunteers are just that...volunteers. They may not have all the answers to the questions you have but please go to the gatehouse with any questions that you haven't had answered, provide your name and a means of contact and our administration will gladly get back to you.
No pets please. Because of the food based nature of our garden, for health reasons we would like to thank you in advance for not bringing your pets to the garden. A dog walk area is available across the street which links to the mile-long + Apple Rail Trail or you can walk them along the Lewis Trail that leads to the historic Lewis Cemetery where you both will enjoy the quiet peacefulness. Thank you for your understanding.
Our pathway surfacing is of tamped stone screenings and accessible by walker, wheelchair, or scooter. No stairs or harsh grades on the site. Barrier-free temporary washroom facility within Garden.
We are 'living' off-grid for the most part. Hot water by solar hot water heater, no hydro available.
