World Food Crops Project

The Bruce Botanical Food Gardens worked with Vineland Research and Innovation Centre in their World Food Crops Project. Eggplant and okra have been trialed to determine if they can be grown productively in the local climate. These plants have considerable demand in Canada and, if they can be shown to grow and thrive in the local climate, there is significant financial benefit to the local farm economy.
