Living Market

Each year we offer the foods grown in the gardens to the public through our living marketplace...our aisles are alive! Enjoy nature, rest and refresh yourself with your choice of freshly harvested tea from the garden.

The food is not for sale, but offered to all in turn for a donation. It is our way of leveling the playing field for people living with food insecurity. Being food insecure means not having ready access to healthy, safe, nutritious, affordable and culturally appropriate food. It is estimated that in 2016 upwards of 15 percent of the population in Grey Bruce suffers from food insecurity, many of them are children.

The Living Market is Thursday to Saturday, during open hours. Signs will be posted directing you to the fruits and vegetables that are ripe for picking, or watch for notices on Facebook (please bring your own bags).
